Just because you have a lot of gear, doesn’t mean you have to have a lot of mess. While standard storage might not cut it, the BuiltRight Industries Bedside Rack System can. Using the same factory mounting points, the rack system installs to keep your gear organized, easily accessible and secure. They work with all MOLLE/PALS accessories in addition to universal slots for all kinds of storage possibilities. Proudly made in USA with a Lifetime Warranty.
The driver's side panel does contain a cutout for a 5th wheel plug but please be aware that your plug may be in a different location and trimming may be required. Please consider this when placing your order.
Engineering
In the 2011-2016 Super Duty, the rear tiedown loop is bolted to the bedside and this serves as our primary locating/mounting point. Bolting the panel into place using the factory hardware locates the panel so all that's required is the installation of four (4) rivet nuts in the bedside. It should be noted again that this does require drilling of your bedside. Once installed, the panels provide MOLLE-compatible features for the use of MOLLE/PALS accessories in addition to universal slots for an infinite number of possibilities.
The 1/4-20 size rivet nut hardware required for each panel is included in this kit along with a very basic DIY rivet nut installation tool. For the best installation, it's recommended that you use an actual rivet nut installation tool, available on Amazon at a reasonable cost.
The latest revision of these panels includes a driver's side panel with a cutout for the 5th wheel plug that some Super Duty's are equipped with. They will also include a small panel to cover that cutout when not in use.
Install
Installation of our 2011-2016 Super Duty Bedside Rack Systems is pretty straight forward, making use of factory rear tiedown location to mount the panel and then using the four center mounting points of the panel as a drill template. You'll then carefully drill these holes and install the rivet nuts. Finally, the panel can then be fully installed using the included hardware. Front panels are installed by locating the panel wherever you prefer and then using it as it's own drill template, much like the rear panels.
